A story from the C-Train

From Laura and Rita:

On a Wednesday night, after a concert, a friend and I got onto the C-train and as we sat down I saw the poster with the statement "Imagine life without war". I exclaimed, "There's our poster!" A fellow, who was sitting facing us, turned to look at it -- and we said, "that's our church's poster." He asked what it was about and we told him that we were waiting to see what kind of reaction might be elicited from the public. He talked of the possibility of a world without war and that the world might be a totally different place if that could become a reality. He was very open and positive about discussing a peacable world. It was a good experience for us. I'm not sure how we might have handled the situation had he been negative.
