Soccer helps Karen children adjust

"A love for soccer, and some help from caring volunteers from Langley Mennonite Fellowship, B.C., are helping Karen refugee children adjust to their new home in Canada." reports the Canadian Mennonite in its July 12 edition.

"The soccer team was formed last fall, made up of children from Karen families— outcasts from their home country of Burma—who have settled in the Langley, B.C. area. Many of the children have witnessed the horrors of seeing family members killed by government soldiers, and some still bear scars from bullet wounds and
burns."
